Successful First Day of Rifle Season '07

Shot this morning, 12 Nov 07, first day of the rifle season, at 0800 hrs. Shot with the below pictured 1934 dated M91/30 Moisin Nagant Sniper Rifle at 130 Meters (ranged with range finder after the shot). Using 150gr .312 dia handloads chronographed at 2688 fps. He was full out on the run. First shot was low (skinned his nuts pretty well, no meat damage), second shot was bang/flop lower spine shot just rear of front shoulders. Not a real big set of antlers (likely 2 1/2 yr old), but decent body size. He was dogging a doe hard when he met his maker....another great day!

It's actually pretty well all original.......sure shoots good for an old girl.....

Quite likely. That or you saw my other Nagant Sniper (the '42 vintage one)with the lighter wood. I shoot both there frequently.....

It's burlap/jute.....camoflage. I have it dressed in period style cam.....
