Hello all - need some help here. It has to do with 100 yd rim fire bench rest:
the scope I am using (weaver classic v series 6-24 x 42) has run out of vertical adjustment for the ammo that is being used (v. low velocity lapua).
The scope specs say that there is only 27" of adjustment - although I have never actually twisted the knob to see what the range is. Assuming it is 27", if i were to get a 20 MOA rail would that then do away with adjusting the scope down to shooting at 50 yards? My brain is hurting here trying to visualize this
--- so to get to the point, the question I can't seem to come to terms with is: would i still be able to shoot at 50 yards with a 20 MOA scope rail on the gun??
something in me is saying no, too much cant for a mere 27" of adjustment, and a 10 MOA rail would give much more flexibility for this rig, I can not find a rail that is 10 MOA and i'm just getting more confused the more i think about it. should be high school math stuff, however, i am way outa high school...................
thanks in advance, jsd
