Suddenly, all these 'deals' on possibly blemished IURs....

I would be more concerned about their shoddy quality control. Knowing they are blemished and offering them at a discount is fine but saying that they "may" be blemished is telling me they need to really step it up in the QC area.

Who's shoddy quality control?

This is from the O'Dell Engineering Facebook page (The IUR dealer):

"These IUR's are extras and have been shipped overseas and returned. These are extras we got late unlike yours which had never left Canada. Yours was from the pristine group. The ones now are "as is" and have been shipped overseas and returned. Thus the condition is not certain and a few we have looked at had noticeable dings and scratches. Finish is not warranted on these nor do they have charge handles."

The blemishes are not caused by poor manufacturing or quality control.

Nordic posted a photo of their shipment: plastic bags with a bit of bubble wrap around the ends (maybe) - hence the dings - they were not boxed for shipment, probably as a cost-saving measure to whichever military bought them.
Also explains the discount: would have been a bulk buy discount, along with a penalty to the buyer for returning them.
So: Discount for huge order at military rates
Minus penalty for returning them
- that's my guess

finally got my new cc, ordered one from sfrc right away today.
I dont care that much about markings personally, its only a biatch when trying to sell it 2 years from now and the buyer is being anal about it.
