Suggest a SKS Tactical Stock

I put mine into an archangel. I can stand it. It's dark earth to boot. Another mistake. Looks gawd awful . Like a GI joe doll gun from the 70s. I wish I got the ATI strike force . Not only is it cheaper by a mile , more rails and more tacticool. The Archangel's side are way too high. It gives the over all look a very clumsy look.

Just my opinion though. I'm definitely swapping it soon

Glad i got rid of my ATI stock. Loose fit made the groups horrible.

I didnt consider that. The archangel is super tight. I even had to file down the gas tube cover. Did you find the ATI swivel stock wobbly? I have it on my 10/22 but with the lack of recoil i never considered it a factor.

The buttstock was fine, but the action moved quite a bit in the rest of the stock. I cut my groups in half going back to the factory wood stock.

If I had to choose a tactical stock it would be the Tapco intrafuse. But I much prefer the look and feel of a timbersmith stock if it's gotta go aftermarket.

I have an ATI Strikeforce folding stock, and it's junk. The pistol grip is held by just one very flimsy screw, and it comes loose after about 40 or 50 rounds. And since you need to remove the pistol grip to disassemble the gun, you can't affix the screw more permanently (i.e. locktite).

This was my first SKS, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I am not impressed. The whole thing just feels like a cheap toy.

I have a crapco t6 on mine. Did some clearancing on the pistol grip so I can fully strip without removing the pistol grip but I found it to be pretty solid either way. The butt stock has lots of rattle but I've seen some ways to eliminate that. They are cheap, chinese quality stocks with lots of little imperfections and what have you but all in all I have had no problems with mine and it's rugged enough.

Anyone got the Sabretooth from Matador arms in AB? Supposed to be really good with the duckbill mags and comes with a bunch of rails up front.

Mine in the Archangel stock...

further back in time when I had the ATI strikeforce..... which was alright... but like others have said, it feels kindof cheap and plastic y. I ran the ATI for like 2 years and it did serve me well though.

Opted for the Archangel when it came out cus it looks really nice IMO, and it seemed well built. And it is. Made from carbon reinforced polymer, it weighs more than the other plastic stocks for sure. But it also feels FAR more solid. Its extremely comfy to shoulder and the fit and finish on it is top notch. Matches Magpul quality without any doubt. Drawbacks being it costs more, has no bayo slot, and dosent support any forend rails. The plastic AK receiver piece on the back forces one to remove the gun from the stock in order to remove the dust cover; UNLESS you cut the hollow AK piece back about an 1/8" away from the dust cover.... then standard SKS disassembly will apply. But the cut may look ugly...
its definitly the # 1 downside to the Archangel stock but it isnt so bad depending on the role your SKS serves you.... it literally adds 15 seconds to my disassembly time; so its no big deal to me!

I just cut that AK hump completely off. There's a secondary deck underneath that I filed smooth to, and it doesn't look bad at all.
I can disassemble in the normal way, and it also made room for a Tech Sight rear peep sight.

Do you think you could post a pic with the hump cut off, I was thinking about doing it to mine but not sure how it would look.
