Suggest me a 308 brake

Is this barrel already threaded for a brake? Hunting profile barrel, or ?

The reason I ask is because if this is for a sporter profile barrel, and you care about appearance, I would have a gunsmith machine the brake to blend into the barrel.

I used a little boy hex on both my stag and bcl. I like them but can only compare them to the standard bird cage. No experience with any others so far.

I have a busted shoulder and have done alot of testing with various brakes to keep in the sport. The smaller in the picture is the M11 style... very popular, very effective. Just found the larger unit which drops recoil even more. Both are steel, very well made, nitrided and proven very durable and properly bored.

PM or email. Prices are way less the 'OEM' prices.

epps has a really effective brake, made just for them. I thought it worked very well as far as recoil mitigation, but the blast was awesome.
not sure if it would worth you giving them a call, but I remember them being priced very well.

For recoil management and faster follow up shots I'd suggest the VG6 gamma. I use one on my stag10 for hunting and on my 3-gun rifle and pcc it's a compensator not just a brake so you get good up wards gas redirection to keep the scope on the target.

Strike Industry J-Comp V2. Very effective brake for $60 and doubles up as a flash hider. Downsides are it's a bit long, and sold out (30cal version) in Canada last time I checked it.

The J Comp is listed as the 2nd best $ / performance brake you can get in one of the muzzle brake tests.
