Suggest Semi-automatic .22's

597 VTR, but you'll have to pick one up used as they discontinued that model. If you can't find one, get an HB model and an AA stock for it. Whatever you buy, I'd avoid the Mossberg 715. The odds you get one that works good is low and you need to remove about 8 thousand little screws to tear it apart to clean it.

Ruger SR-22 and ANSCHÜTZ MSR RX-22. Both are good for different reasons.
SR-22 is great with the 110 round mags for killing many zombies and it is a solid all metal gun -- no plastic stocks.
RX-22 is better for accurate shot placement for the sniper in you.

Either of these two are perfect and have the features you asked about.

I hate to admit it, but I currently have four 10/22's and have had excellent results with reliability... most basic must have mod is the KIDD or Volquartsen extractor.... I also have a 597 in .22WMR and it's flawless and a tack driver but it's a finicky POS to disassemble and maintain....

Sr22 for the win!

Anyway who says an SR22.
Please list upgrades and total cost in.
Everyone knows my opinion. An SR22 is a highly overpriced 10/22 to begin with. However few add the cost of their add-ons.
You end up with a 1+k 10/22!

I said it before and i'll say it again give tanfoglio appeal a try everyone that try mine loved it but just a bit expensive

I love my remington 597 heavy barrel. I've never had any issues with it (I do only own the stock 10 shot magazines) and added a Volquartsen hammer to lighten the trigger up.

Much more accurate than the 10/22 that I just sold, and much cheaper. If you want rails you can buy a Archangel stock for it and be miles ahead of the equal 10/22 in price.

I think it's a much better gun for much cheaper. The 10/22 is just so trendy that it blows the price up.
