suggestion for a scope please

i'll soon be the owner of a brand new remington sps tactical rifle in .308 win with a 20" bull barrel but i am having some issues on deciding for a scope..

my first thought was slap a leopaul vxII 3-9 x 40mm on it .. but now i'm thinking maybe bushnelles 10x fixed power 3300 with mildots ..

I'd like to model it after a more "swat" urban rifle but i have absolutly no idea what police forces use for precision arms...

any help would be appriciated!!!

I would suggest a Falcon from Allen Gunworks, or like you said already a nice clean Elite 3200 in a fixed 10. I don't think you'll want to shell out for what any professional tac unit is using, at least I don't. Good luck.
