Suggestion on diffrent calibers

Witch caliber would u suggest for hunting in Atlantic Canada 8X57 7mm-08 30-06 308 270. I would use it for white tail deer, black bear, moose. I plan on reloading in the future.

Any of those would work.

If you are going to reload , the world is your oyster, you'll have many others to choose from also_Only thing is to use a quality hunting bullet.

I have a bias to things chambered in 7mm.
 
Any of those will work fine, although I'm not sure what factory ammo is currently available for the 8x57.

I've owned all off those chamberings at one time or another here in NB. All would be a good choice for hunting here, but finding ammo for the 8x57 and 7/08 would be a little harder. 270, 308, 3030, 303, 30/06 is everywhere here.

If you're planning on getting into reloading right away, I'd say take your pick and base that choice on a rifle that fits your needs. A nice lightweight bolt action in 308 with a 2x7 scope would be perfect, but the same could be said about all the other choices listed as well.

out of that group I'd choose 7mm-08 and or 308, but of coarse I'm a short action fan.

Heck Ben he's from PEI, a .45-70 should have enough range to shoot clear across the little island....

Seriously though, any of the choices you've mentioned are sound ones, and like previously stated 8 mm and 7-08 might be a little harder to find ammo for.
 
For pure hunting nothing beats the 30-06 in that group. If you want to shoot at the range lots, something with less recoil is nice like the 7-08. I have a 270, 260, and 30-06 and the 260 is marginal for moose sized animals. Someone will argue this, but what I mean is if you have a less than perfect shot. I had a straight (moose looking at us) on shot standing beside my buddy, me with 260 him with 30-06. He shot and then me twice then him. When he hit the moose had a hugh flinch mine not so much. All bullets recovered. Now the moose would have died with the 260, just you could plainly tell the difference.
