Suggestions for 22lr scope

The airgun scopes would save a bit of $$ but only good for daytime targets. A $500+ scope could 'reach out' further and be more 'light acceptable'. I have an Athlon 8-34x56 and wish I had more mag-x. A Lever don't care what it looks like or it wouldn't have that thing hangin' down.

Scoping a Lever is the 8th Deadly Sin.....jk. I understand why some might want/have to do it.
The added weight of a scope will make the already butt heavy Lever even more so which may throw off the balance under quick draw/fire.
If I had to....I would consider a compact low power scope with no front bell (eg VX-Freedom 1-4X20mm). This type will mount low and imo look less grotesque on a Lever :)

It’s only a wee 22 lever so not heavy lol

To me a 500$+ scope on a 500$ seem unjustified lol, I’m ok with 200$ for a scope. Not so much more being only a 500$ gun, that’s just me though and maybe it silly thinking but that’s just me lol

On my CZ455 Lux I have a Bushnell 4x14 Elite and on my Dkask Tuff 22 I have a Primary Arms 1x6 with .22LR ACCS reticle

I really like both setups. I can hit 12 gauge hulls everytime at 100 yards with the CZ.

I have 1907 slings on both and want to shoot more slung up.

I've got a $500 tx-in(4-years ago) Covenant 6-24x50 FFP on my $375 tx-in (4-years ago)) Sav B22 ; but only $700 Athlon on my $1500+ V-MTR. Inverted math, but it works OK. My B22 would prob do better than 0.5xx" with a better scope, but I just got a better rifle instead.
Point is, it's what you want to do with the gun AND what the gun can do.

Well I guess I’ll have to keep my eyes open for something that appeals to me and see how well it works then :)

SunOptic's shorty-40 3 X 9; compact, light, Paralax adjustment, dot reticle, fine crosshairs. Low cost too.

I put a old japan made 4x glossy Bushnell on my Henry small game carbine. I like the zoom level for just about everything. The gloss suits the rifle and is low weight.

I have a Bushnell AR optics 2-7 rimfire scope on a 22lr, it's honestly surprised me. Glass was better than I expected, and it has adjustable parallax down to 10y. It's not light, but it's inexpensive and reliable.
