I'am wanting to stick to a 9mm 1911 I only want to shoot 9mm to keep the ammo costs down plus its the only chamber size I own for now.
What should I be looking at?
Something with a nickel or stainless type finish nothing black.

Thanks in advance!!!

Oh ya forgot to add something in a gov or com size ☺

Well if you have the money the STI Trojan owns, and you can get it chromed out if you don't like it black. Plus, it looks totally ballin' chromed out too. The cheap option of course is the Norc, but I haven't a clue if they come in anything but black.

Within reason the STI Trojan for around a grand is an excellent buy. For $350 the Norinco represents real value. Pick your price point and go for it.

Take Care

You'll have a very tough time finding a stainless or nickel 9mm 1911 for a sub-$1000 price. At a price just above that I'm thinking maybe a stainless Kimber Custom II might be your best bet.

Probably the cheapest SS 9mm 1911 around is the Sam at $590. Also a Sig Match Elite SS in 9mm is available for considerably more, $1170.

Sig's have gorgeous finish. Kimber has a bunch of really nice stainless 1911's in 9mm. Depends on how much you want to spend.

When I looked for my first gun, my criteria was:

- 1911
- stainless
- 9mm
- as close to $1000 as possible

The Kimber Stainless II was the only one that fit all that that I liked and it's an awesome gun!

Thanks for the info, now i'am going to spend some time doing some research on the above recommended models.
Thanks again!!
