Suggestions for a Chronograph

Chrony

++ for shooting chrony, and get a Master, as it will save you money to have the electronics and display panel seperate from the main unit. The $$ savings comes in when you shoot the box and have to replace it.

Also remember they have a canadian office in Mississauga, no point in paying duties when it is already in Canada.

Finally if you call they sometimes have refurbished units for <$50 (from guys like me who have shot theirs)
 
I bought my Chrony from Lovetts,must be at least 20 Years ago.They weren't out on the market 6 months when i got mine and it still works good.
 
When I do set up my F1 Chrony, I run a strip of duct tape from the rods, side to side, about 7 inches high and shoot through the middle of the tape. This provides an aiming point and keeps my bullets away from the chrony. I did this after reading about the many bloopers made by others who inadvertently destroyed theirs.
If you are using a scope(not that you'll be able to focus), adjust the height of the tape an extra inch or two higher.The bullet should hit the bottom or pass just below the tape. Always shoot over the center of the chrony.
Most readers would know this but this is offered for the newbie chronograph user. Cheers.
