I am looking to get a red dot for my shotgun but the question is which one? There are tons of different ones available in various price ranges and I am just wondering what would be a good one to get for the 1919. I'm looking for suggestions from others on what they have used, what is a good brand and obviously the ones to stay away from. Also I may want to try it out on one of my rifles so can a red dot for a shotgun also be used on a rifle?
Thanks for any input

i would recommend a Vortex Sparc II...good price and robust for a shotgun..i dont own one but have handled it (at Bullseye) and was planning to get it for one of my shotguns

I have the Holosun HS515CU on mine and it is amazing! So many great features on it for the price. Ordered it from Holosun.ca so I didn't have to look to find who had them in stock. Flip up lens caps, kill flash, circle, circle dot, or just dot recticle, auto or manual brightness, auto off after 30 min. or so. instant on again when you move it, solar powered with a seemless battery backup in case of low light, comes with a riser and I'm pretty sure a quick disconnect mount. Check them out!

I have been using a Bushnell trs-25 for a while now on a 30-06 and have had no issues. Send me a PM if this red dot interests you, I have a new one in box. I got a good deal so I bought an extra one.
