Suggestions for a scope for a Marlin 39a?

I have a Weaver 90 top mount base but need a scope. I'm thinking a 28 to 33mm compact and medium rings would fit the best. Probably a Weaver or Leupold type quality. I tried ordering a 4x32 Weaver Shotgun Scope from Natchez Shooters Supplies but they won't export to Canada. Darn it was such a good deal too.

Anyone you know of in Canada offers similar deals? Or in the States that will export? What do you guys use on your Marlin 39a?

Open sights................ like a lever was meant to be.

Sorry, that doesn't help much, I did scope mine for a while. It came off pretty quick though. I can't even remember what I had on it..........

Have you considered a peep sight? Or do you really feel a need for added magnification?

What about the Leupold FXI 4x28 rimfire scope? That might be a good fit, if you insist.

Optic Zone will ship to Canada and help you with the papers but will tell you it is a heck of lot easier if they can ship to an American address. I've got a Lyman Alaskan on my 39A. Old shooter - old rifle - old scope.
