Looking for suggestions on a rifle that mostly fits the following criteria:
Affordable on the used market
Affordable ammunition options for fun at the range
Cartridge can be used for bear, deer, moose Hunting
And a more modern tactical style, not looking for a traditional hunting rifle or wood.

Couple examples of rifles I like the appearance of:
Stag 10 (too expensive though)
CMMG MK 3/47
Tavor/SA80 bullpups
Mini 14 Tactical
FN SCAR
Savage MSR 10

I’m pretty sure I’m set on .308 but I’m open to other suggestions. I’d love a semi but I’m also open to bolts as long as they don’t fall into the generic hunting/M14 styling.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Your examples fall to semi auto. Any thought to a "tactical" precision rifle? My thoughts to a Rem 700 5r 308, always seems to be one for sale, hold their value if you change your mind. Good/boringly accurate, range gun, with the only issue being heavy for hunting. Some of your examples are 223, much less useful for hunting. Browning Bars, a actual hunting semi auto are often cheap, would be more accurate than a tactical semi.

There are many options, non restricted tax, bank account being the limiting issue.

I have a mini 14 in 6.8 spc, not entirely common. Somewhat tactical, and hunting for small....big game. More common would be .. a Mini 30 pushing softpoint x39.

for me, its the mares leg.

i dont care which brand you buy. if you want something thats pistol sized and NR, then thats the best all around platform on the market

The op said no wood or traditional hunting style and never mentions pistol size, so I'm curious why you came up with your suggestion?

Definitely won’t be buying brand new, likely used from here if I find something.
The models I posted are strictly for appearance reference in terms of what I want my rifle to possible look like.
I’m definitely not looking to get a .223 or 7.62x39 rifle, .308 would be preferable as it has cheap options for target, good rounds for hunting, and it’s a good enough round for all three types of game I’m likely to hunt.

It’s not that I don’t like the rem 700, I’m just looking for something that’s a bit more ”HELLO!” If you know what I mean.
But I guess if there’s a good aftermarket, realistically I could over time add some goodies to it.
I’m really interested in the AR10 platform, but ofc open to other options.
Also I’m not really stoked about the older battle rifle style Ala Garand and the like. Definitely something more Modern tactical.

Not sure how my post led you to believe I’m looking for a lever 30-30 but if further clarification is required just lmk.

As for the Ruger gunsite, it looks generic like every other vintage battle rifle just with synth stock. Not really what I’m after but thanks for the suggestions.

.308 ammo is too expensive to shoot at the range, and have it be fun or affordable (bang!=$1....bang!=$1....bang!=$1)
mini 30 doesn't handle surplus ammo well (afaik) so that's not really an option for you either, given the budget constraints.

imo, "affordable fun at the range" and "deer and moose hunting" are so far apart, it's like saying you want to have a woman that is free-spirit, easy/crazy adventurous, but will also do a good job cooking, cleaning and raising your kids......

You need two guns.

There's a few nice looking inexpensive m305's on the EE right now. The older they are and the least amount of rounds the better. They make a great platform to tinker with.

Hard to go wrong with a stag 10. If you don't like the stock rifle configuration you can always start from a receiver set and go from there.

With what you mentioned?

Mini 30, done.

If you really can't deal with 7.62x39 (which suits pretty much all your criterias) and the like of stag/troy are too pricy, then as mentionned m305. But 308 isn't cheap at the range anymore (really never was all that much).

If you find that modern, inexpensive, light-enough-for-hunting, powerful enough for big game tack driving semi-auto target unicorn that performs well with cheap ammo for the money you want to spend then let me know.
Until then, buy the stag 10 and have fun with it. Then drop another $$$ to make it sub-moa. Then buy a Tikka or rem 700 or other bolt action for hunting. Then buy an MDT (or other) chassis to make it a modern mag fed tack driver.
Then buy.....

The OP is looking for in a modern tactical style rifle for "bear, deer, moose Hunting" and the Mares Leg with its short barrel, sighting radius and short stock making it inherently inaccurate and would be a terrible choice.

The FNAR is pretty sweet because for around $1800 you get guarantee sub MOA which it does deliver and with factory, if I might add but it still looks more like a hunting traditional rifle dressed up for competition. The problems with mines are 1, it's heavy, 2, trigger is heavy, proprietary mags limits you to 5 rounds. I bought one thinking I could fit my LARs mag in and then someone on line said that I can't so I tried it and then "Crap" and there is more FTF than my m305. But I was was kinda expecting that from some of the reviews. The Match barrel still makes it a hell of a gun for the money. I'd buy it again. If you want a more reliable, more tactical look in .308, I myself am eyeing the Ruger Precision. It has that AR look and it has all the MLok rails but in a bolt action. A little more reliable a little lighter according to the spec sheet. I don't think you will find any used FNARs around but I believe there is a Ruger Precision on Accuracy Plus website for $1200 but don't quote me on that. Just going off memory.
