Suggestions for books on hunting Africa

Hello All,

I have been looking at the Safari press catalogue and I have a bad case of information overload. I would like to get a few books on hunting Africa that would apply today, such as what it is like today, areas to hunt, and shot placements. It is a pipe dream of mine to hunt Africa, but there is nothing saying I cannot read up on it .

Any suggestions as to books you may have read that were enjoyable and\or informative would be helpful.

Someone had a hunt in Africa this year....don't remember who...
the books.... shot placement Africa... Craig Boddington. thay even have a pocket edition. Cabela's have them.

The books make interesting reading ... but most of these books are printed for a primary purpose - to sell books.

If you really want to go : References, references, references.
Talk to some individuals who have gone, first-hand, about their experiances, costs, likes, dislikes, facilities, accommodations, guides, travel arrangements, innoculations, etc. And oh yeah, cost. In the end, it's the taxidermist that will get ya for the most !

Let alone the trophy fee's!! Make sure that you check the cost of actually shooting game there!!
