suggestions for clean burning pistol powder?

Can anyone suggest any clean...er burning pistols powders around the same burn rate as bullseye? I have my load perfected and don't want to have to tamper to terribly much with a brand new powder. Iam just tired of how dirty bullseye is.

WW 231 is pretty dirty too. Hopefully, it isn't an issue for you.

for lower pressure loads - ie bullseye,ppc and minor factor 40 i like clays
clean and uses very little so a can goes along way.

Titegroup and Clays are pretty clean. Vihtavuori are ridiculously clean, but also ridiculously expensive. Bullseye is between N310 and N320 in burn rate.

+1 Titegroup... Only drawback is how little is in the casing so you can double drop easily if not careful.

I was using bullseye for 38 special +p loads with 158 aim bullets, very accurate but very dirty, I actually switched to trailboss powder, burns incredibly clean, I can usually shoot multiple IDPA matches without any trouble. The bullseye would cause problems after about 30 rounds it was so dirty...

Now I know that trailboss is supposed to be just for cast bullets but it works just fine with jacketed bullets in my 4.2 inch GP100, worked up a load to 5.1 grains, gives around 840fps. Fills the case without compressing the charge which is a no no with this powder.


I'd also have to second the clays, burns clean also...
