Im a new hunter and already got my first white tail last weekend. Now looking at investing in binocs and range finder, what brands and features do you suggest?

Yep! Those Monarchs are nice!! I'm using the Travellite 10x. Cabela's has the new Monarch 7. On sale right now if I remember correctly.
There are sales at this time of year, and sales do get better when approaching Xmas or just after.

The functional things to consider are light gathering ability, and weight.
After that, your style of hunting will have some considerations.
Glassing at long range for extended periods can cause eye strain.
Early morning hunts require maximum light gathering ability.
Range finders have a number of options. Archers requirements differ greatly from Long Range Hunting.
Mine were in the $200 range work for archery and out to 500 yards but have been carried while golfing too.
There are limitations in fog and rain (Wet Coast Considerations).
For really long range, Add a zero to the above figure for starters.
Using both inside the confines of businesses might be okay for archery and bird watchers but not for rifle hunters.
