Suggestions for starter shotgun

My PAL is in the mail and I am looking to get a reliable autoloader for general shooting, but I would like to get into sporting clays.
Do you guys have any suggestions for a good starter shotgun?
I'm a student, so my budget is relatively low; around the $500-$600 range.

You are pretty much limited to an 1100 Remington or Super X-1 Winchester on that budget. With regular cleaning they will shoot and shoot.

I've found a 1100, 1187, and a mp153 all in similar quality and price, but I'm not sure which to go for

Stoeger 2000 is in your price range too. Good value and no gas system.

Buy the 11/87 stay away from the Stoeger.Baikal, and any other low end crap as mentioned SX1 or 1100 would be good choices.

stoger model 2000 i use it all the time for my clay shootin great gun just dont expect to shoot slugs out of it 9 to 12 inches to the left but patterns dead on
