Suggestions for Weaver base compatible quick release rings?

Looking for suggestions for Weaver base(55 & 20a) compatible rings for a heavier recoiling rifle(9.3x62). Must be quick release rings so I can use my iron sights if needed. How are Weaver's rings? I have only ever used Leupold rings.

Plain vanilla Weaver rings are the original "quick release rings. Yes, they are ugly, but very strong, and also return to zero with more than enough reliability to win coffee bets at the range every once in a while.

On several occasions I have shot groups while removing the scope and replacing it between shots. People are always quite amazed, and always end up buying the coffees. Try it....you will be impressed!

Good to know, Ted. I had never heard anything bad about Weaver's but I just wanted to check. Good to know.

Looky, I think they are Weaver Lever somethings?

The hinged base/ring setup is called a pivot mount by Weaver. I have had several sets over the years, and set up correctly they are ver accurate and solid.

Leupold QRW's are nicely machined and have a finger lever to loosen.

I used Weaver for 40 years. Dependable in every way!!!!! Then I switched to Leopold bases and Rings!!! They MUST be better they cost more. DDAAAAA!!!!! Respectfully Jim
