Suggestions needed

.270. I shoot left handed. My one shot gun (BPS) Is a bottom load, bottom eject, top safety. Didn't know if this option existed in a rifle. Should I be looking for a top load? I hunt with shot guns and own a 10/22. Just looking for a gun that can be used both left and right handed with ease. And preferably one I don't have to fire upside down...

Just buy a left handed rifle, there are plenty available, however bottom eject is rare if in fact is does exist today, and tang safeties do limit your selection a bit.And other than a blind magazine, most rifles can be loaded from the bottom, either through the floorplate,or with the use of a detachable magazine.

Bottom eject isn't a must, just a nice option on my Browning. I'm also hoping for an ambidextrous because I also take my little cousin shooting on occasion but he's right handed.

Savage 99s are leftie or rightie friendly especially the later ones with tang safeties. Also have a leftie bolt Ruger 77mkII 30-06, leftie CZ452 22lr and a leftie CZ527 223. Have also a few lever 22s. The bolts are all side eject but I have a BPS as well. Nice but I grew up using a rh 870 Wingmaster without any problems ever. One of my fave guns.
The advantage to both the Savage 99s and Browining levers is they come in decent sized cals for hunting. My Savage 99c 308 is one of my fave rifles.

Single shot would honestly be your best bet, and there is a few to choose from, starting at the NEF or H&R (the turn it upside down part of my previous comment was a smartass attempt at humor) You can also look at a #1 as mentioned, if you prefer classic lines and a solid rifle, a number one would make a great choice.

If you are after versatility, and a modern look, then look at a thompson-center prohunter. You can also swap the barrels out on this one and that gives you almost unlimited cartridges to chose from.

bottom eject

Looking for any thoughts or advice a rifle. Under 270, top safety, bottom eject. What are my options?

:)How about a BREN GUN. A little larger calibre in .303, a bit heavy for hunting, but meets your bottom eject criteria.:)

Seriously, there are few rifles that meet a right/left handed criteria. As mentioned, the Savage Model 99 is probably a good choice, but if you are attached to the pump gun action, the Remington will be a good choice. A lot of manufacturers make a left hand bolt action, so again, maybe check out the Savage line.

All of us lefties have been down this road before. My first shotgun was a Browning BPS. I quickly traded it for a lefthanded Remington Wingmaster.
Similarly, I bought a Remington 700 in lefthand for hunting.
If you add a scope and then sight in your gun to fit your way of shooting, another person using the gun will likley not be as accurate with it as a result. So get a gun that works for you in left hand. It will save you a lot of grief in the long run. Lots of good ones out there.
