I have decided on the STEVENS 200 with the Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7x 32mm.

Good choice. Best not to cheeep out on the glass. That 3200 will serve you well.

My setup...

Stevens 200
Bushnell Elite 3-9x40
Burris rings & bases... NEVER MIX brands, take my word on it... They "may say" they are compatible, but don't believe it...

UNDER an inch at 100 meters with factory ammo...

My wife has the SAME setup in 243... You just can't go wrong with a deal like Savage is providing in the Stevens 200...

You'll need bases that fit the Stevens 200, & 1 inch rings. With the 2-7x32 model bushnell, you could use the low rings, they would fit, and it would just depend on how high you want your scope to sit... I went with medium height rings on the 3-9x40 elite and there was enough space to put the scope caps back on, no problem.

I have a stevens 200 in 308 as a throw behind the seat hunting rifle and I love it. Its accurate and reliable. Hell of a good buy for around 350 before taxes.

Stevens is a good deal if you can stand the tupperware. Its not too bad with a paint job.
