Suggestions on good Gunsmith out west...

My wife's father just passed away and has left a prohibited handgun that we need to get rebarreled. I hear that finding barrels,importing, can be a real pain.
If you have any ideas to help me out please feel free to pass on any info....

Yeh we can't aquire it unless we modify which is too bad since it is a model 29 S&W, 1967 .
