anyone have any info on these guns? or has anyone purchased one from Trade ex? they seem pretty good from the pics on the website but i'd like to know from anyone with firsthand knowledge if they're worth my time and money. thanks

Hunter 28 only has 19 posts and hasn't posted since February 01, 2010 so it would appear he doesn't frequent this site that often. Were you thinking of getting one of these guns or wondering what tradeex is like to deal with?
should have know better, just digging up the old threads that mention a suhl. I heard tradeex is top notch for service, but they are short staffed for 2 weeks.

I don't know what the Suhl guns are like but I did buy one of my Brno SxS's from them. I found Tradeex very easy to deal with and the gun I got was better than described. Of course I picked a Brno that was at the top of their listing condition wise. I found it hard to believe but the gun I got is in very nice original condition wood and bluing wise. Don't think there is a scratch in the bluing and there isn't even any marks on the face of the action around the firing pins. It is still stiff to open. I have 2 other Brno SxS's and the one from Tradeex is in just as fine of condition as the ones I got privately. I was quite pleased with the purchase.
Really I am looking for a functioning tight gun. The cosmetic condition is not a great concern as long as it functions 100% as i like to restore.
I am looking at the sub $200 guns, internal hammers, 2 3/4". So far the suhl and baikal caugh my eye

Both are probably OK guns but of the two, I think I would go with the Shul. If you get either, phone tradeex and tell them that you are looking for one that the action is tight on. They will oblige you plus they will answer any questions you have on the type of gun you may be considering.
