I’ve been seeing the new sulun arms spass-12 clones pop up on American YouTube and it looks like they took an off the shelf Turkish semi receiver and fitted spas-12 furniture too it, if this is the case, what’s to stop someone from importing these for us because the action is different from the prohibited real spas-12s?

That’s my point, it’s not a variant, it’s a new firearm produced on a different receiver that doesn’t interchange parts with the original and only looks like it from a few feet away

You're talking about a country that allows a .22LR semi auto rifle called the Blaze, yet if you put a plastic shell over it and call it a Blaze 47, it becomes prohibited as an AK47 variant....

It sure did, and I for one could not be happier that they landed here! I'll take the stripped down aesthetic of the faux "M3 Super 90" over the clunky look and function of the SPAS-12 every time. I am very happy with mine, although the requirement for high-velocity ammo means accepting a bit more recoil in semi-auto mode. The inertia/recoil operating system demands full-power loads for reliable semi-automatic operation, although pump-operation is always an option for lower-powered rounds.

I am really very pleased with the apparent quality and demonstrated functionality of the Sulun "M3 (M4) Super 90" clone. It is a quality shotgun that functions equally well in both its semi-automatic and manual pump-action modes.




Note: The pictured Buttstock is a "Black Aces" aftermarket product that fits both the Benelli M4 and the Sulun M3/M4 Receivers. Factory configuration is a fixed-length "Field Buttstock". The Bayonet Mounting System is designed for a Mossberg M500 shotgun but functions perfectly with the Sulun "M3/M4 Super 90".

That's very interesting, thanks for sharing, not a fan of those telescopic stock, really hate it on Benelli m4. What is brand of the bayonet for Mossberg M500 shotgun? Do you know if that would work on Benelli M4? Thanks in advance.

The Mossberg 500 Bayonet Attachment Assembly works with any STANAG (NATO) bayonet, including the Canadian Nella and Bayonet 2000 models, the US M7 and M9, etc, etc. They Mossberg System ought to work with the M4 as it did with the Sulun M3 clone. You will likely have to leave off the Magazine End-Cap, securing the Magazine Spring and Follower with the Clamp-On Bayonet Ring Mount instead. The Bayonet Catch will slide over the Magazine Tube and clamp on at the appropriate length to accommodate a bayonet. It is a pretty simple and self-explanatory 2-piece kit available at Canadian Safety Source:
