Sulun Arms SS-211 at Tactical Imports!

I can't imagine why a cylinder bore would have issues with slugs, perhaps the instructions were referencing a choked model?
Or they are worried about nose bleeds from people shooting heavy slugs with their strong hand thumb draped over the wrist of the stock.... :)

I could see a kydex holster with options to belt mount, sling or strap to a pack being pretty handy for people looking for a sheath.

The cylinder bore had me assuming slugs were fine as well. Hopefully your hypothesis is correct about a different choked model.

And yes, x1000 on the kydex holster idea.

Slugs can cause the soldering on double barrels to fail.

Rifles slugs are for smooth bore; sabot slugs for rifled barrels.

These little shotguns are still a fun novelty, but not the best choice for defense from wildlife.

I would love one of these slightly longer, like 24"/

Thanks for straightening me out.... on the rifled slugs :)

And also explaining why slugs might be a problem for soldered barrels....

My big question:
The instruction book mentions it should not fire slugs though. T.I. is this true? And alternatively is it just not rated for a 3" slug. Could you use something with less punch like a mini shell slug?
Why is this a recommendation?
I've got mine in and the manual says exactly:
If the barrel is marked 3 inch it will accept 3 in & 2 3/4 inch shotshells. We do not recommend using slugs in this O&U shotgun, except for cylinder and improved cylinder choke tubes.

These are cylinder choke. No need for people getting worked up, shoot slug until the cows come home.

I just got mine and was about to post the same thing. It's a shame people can't read complete sentences. Oh well, BTT.

Thanks TI the shotgun, looks great, lock up is tight. Can't wait to shoot slugs out of it.

Anyone experience a bunch of sand in the area where it pivots to load? The one I have is extremely gritty
took it apart to clean all the sand and put it together and it was still gritty
took it apart again and it was full of sand again.
took a bit but I figured out where it was coming from
There is a channel/pocket in between the two barrels at the front and it was full of sand
After blowing it all out and relubing the mechanism it seems to be ok now so if anyone has a gritty one check in that spot for the sand

Picked mine up today and took her to the range. Tried slugs, buck shot, and shot all worked well.
It sure provides quite the kick. Patterned it at 10 yards with 7.5 challenger shot. All hit a 2’x2’ square hah!

Thanks TI I’m very happy with it.

Stock is certainly short but should be adequate for a head-up shoulder seat. I certainly wouldn't want to be holding it with a cheek weld since I could see wearing my knuckle in my nose.

The rule of thumb, when using very short stocks , is to lay your thumb along your hand , not over the stock, it might feel slightly odd at first, but it works .
