I've never shot IPSC. What do I need to do to be qualified by the time this match takes place...? or is it even possible?

I live in Edmundston, NB so I'm nice and close. (well, compared to some anyway)

You will need a black badge course before the match. That is all.

Edmundston..........I think that is where you take the LEFT to head to the club.....IIRC it was at about 3:30 am last time I was through!

Meanwhile...........got the cottage reservation in last night.

Going to be a great Vacation!

On a related note, what would the minimum equipment be that I'd need? I don't have a lot of cash, and I'm definitely not worried about coming in first. Dead last would be ok with me - I just want to try it out.
