Summer Slam VIII Registration is now open!

i must have missed you at this years match Mike. Eugene is pissed because he put in an arbitration or attempted to in regards to a target he could see behind and above a 7 foot wall. Ya know...some times the rule book has its moments. All walls go to infinity....up and down apparently.
s.

I was there in spirit, I know how much I'm adored ip there B-)

Yeah, he must be very proud of himself for giving a young guy supplies worth of $20. :)

i am....along with the donations of ammo, projectiles, powders and brass I give every year to the NB Provincials and Summer Slam.

The food at the banquet was decent and the prize table looked good, but you had to wait for the prize draw for 3 hours, including listening to long and repetitive speeches. For Christ's sake, limit the time for each speaker... It is good to recognize sponsors and show them appreciation, but having NFA guy mumble at the stage for 30 minutes and going in circles how we should fight for our rights was way over the top, besides, he didn't say anything we didn't know and most people wasn't really listening.

The NFA put a $2000.00 gun on the table surely that deserved 30 minutes at the banquet. Hell, for a 1 in 140 chance at winning it I would give a Justin Trudeau
30 minutes of my time.

For those persons who talked over his speech, your ignorance was recognized.

I'm shocked by the rudeness in this thread!

so am I ....I like to think there is good in everyone, and NB likes to welcome all shooters. Lesson learned in this particular case.
That being said, I won't take #### from anyone and don't appreciate people ####ting on my friends and the volunteers at the Restigouche Gun Club.

Fool me once, shame on you,....Fool me twice,..Shame on me.

If you want to hold a sanctioned ipsc match the rule book is pretty important sparky

If you want to check as I have on previous occasions. Club rules and regulations override the IPSC rule book. Club rules say the directors of the club have the right to say who is allowed to be a guest and who is not. You want to push Clubs to say IPSC over rules them? Clubs board will say screw you to IPSC and don't think that they will care about the revenue stream no club runs only on IPSC. This is not the only time I have heard about a certain someone being on the cusp of the same situation with some Ontario clubs. My feelings don't like the match vote with your feet. I know both sides will be happy.

Actually...that's not correct. We've all been down this road before...the rule book is pretty clear if you want to hold a sanctioned match.

3.3 Local, Regional and National Rules
3.3.1 IPSC matches are governed by the rules applicable to the discipline. Host organizations may not enforce local rules except to comply with legislation or legal precedent in the applicable jurisdiction. Any voluntarily adopted rules that are not in compliance with these rules must not be applied to IPSC matches without the express consent of the Regional Director and the IPSC Executive Council.

I read this as to how the game is played not who can play it. Ranges are private entities, and the sport of IPSC and it's competitors are guests. If a range operator deems that someone is non-gratis, that is their decision. If that decision is egregious, it will soon resolve itself.

Well...fortunately the RD is smart enough to not let this rediculous popularity contest manifest itself.

Surely you see where this can of worms would lead. Not good enough to beat said competitor? Not to worry. You know...he's not very nice...and I don't how he posts on an open forum. No need to practice though...he's not welcome at the match

This entire thread is proof we never have to worry about the Lieberals shutting us down. We will implode on ourselves long before that happens

Pathetic...

I thought this discussion was on the fine points of the rulebook not the merits of a particular situation

The club could serve the individual with a trespass notice, including the caution that the notice is not voided by that individuals participation in events governed by third parties.

While it may not be possible to exclude a member in good standing from registering from a sanctioned match, nothing stops the host club from having him removed from the property.
