This is the craziest shooting rest I ever seen! Making good use out of your car jack and rotor.

Aside from that, you guys have a lot of nice looking boom sticks, looks like a ton of fun. I have never experienced the sound of a braked .50, must be crazy.
 
Just a quick note on my wife's puter mine isn't working or I'd post some pics.
Jerry, many thanks for a great weekend and I'm definately in for next year. I'm just happy I was hitting the targets at 800 and 975yds with the Central aperture sight. Hope to be scoped by next year :D
Camping out there overnight was good too... perfect weekend all round for me, and it was great meeting some of the CGN regulars!

Thanks for all the time and work putting this together. My PGW timberwolf had it;s moment at the 1760 marker. Thanks for making it happen. I have lots of pics, need a little help posting them anyone who can let m eknow how to post here. !!!!

Remington Sendero 300 Win Mag, factory barrel, skim bedded action. Falcon Merlin optics with +0.010 and -0.010 Burris Inserts and "bedded and shimmed" rear scope base for a total of 50 moa (enough elevation to reach 1800 yds with mildot holdover). 190gn Sierra match kings @ 2960fps. I was out for day one and managed 1450 yards with some regularity until the wind humbled me. The "guy with the Norinco 7.62x51" mentioned by General Ripper was my unmolested open sighted Norinco M14. Lobbing South African surplus ammo with the aide of a spotter (stevebc) corrected hits were observed on the 600 yd gong, 800 yd Rock and danced around a rock at 975 yd that was quite cool. Prior to this event I had heard of being able to witness the bullet trail and the bullet through a spotting scope on its way to the target, I have now seen it :). Overall it was a pleasure to meet a bunch of great guys, seeing many exotic guns and day of shooting to be remembered until next year!

It was a great shoot, and am really glad to come out for the 1st day lng distance..... 1st time long distance shooting.... Will be there every year now.... Whoulda thunk to play with 50 BMG boys with a .338 LAI youd have to use the WHOLE reticle on a 8x32 nightforce on a 20moa rail, MAX out all the elevation and change the magnification to 10 power to reach out the the 2400yrd targets and get confirmed hits 3 times in a row.... :dancingbanana::)

I never did see where my 55gr noslers would die, but Glock had it to 1200 yrds and was planting them in there on the money......Maybe next barreling I will go to a 9 twist and shoot the vlds.....

Thanks for a really fine event Jerry. Got my settings out to 1000 on both rifles. Shot offhand at 800 meters for the first time in my life with a 223 yet. (I know, I know, it's supposed to be impossible...but it aint...ask Quigley...who did a little better than me, by the way... but he had a bigger gun:D) Good dinner...good conversations...good shooting...doesn't get much better than that. fred
 
Hey all, We just pulled into E-town for the night before the last hump home. Had an awsome shoot Deb and myself would like to thank Jerry again. Sunburn hurts like all hell, but I guess thats why they call us Albertan's Rednecks. The Alberta AAA beef in BC is just as good as it is here!!:p

Jerry when you get those .50bmg hits ranged let me know I was figureing 2525yrds when I finnished the math to the furthest hits from the ridge I know there may be some error there but breaking 2,000 was my goal so thanks again. We took a load of pics and video and managed to get some video of Glock making hits at 1100yrds and Danger Deb at 1600yrds on a rock, I was supprised as all hell the camera would pick up impacts that far.

I was a sceptic on the .408 Cheytac....still am with the Chey-tac numbers but I must add that what the ABC boys are doing with the .408 round out in BC is definately something to keep your eyes on. I want to thank you guys for the .50bmg rounds you gave me to test they also look extreamly well made and cant wait to try them at extended range. I personaly will be watching very closely as to how you make out with the .408 Im impressed as all hell and can see that as being a next build from my favorite builder at ATRS.

And please if anyone comes across my LRF, it's missing the Swarovski bird in the rubber, I would greatly appreciate its return..PM me.

Great shoot, Great bunch of guys, and looking forward to seeing new and old friends at the next one!!

When we are home we will add some more color to the post with pictures and digs....here a few Alberta boys showed Kelona how to party and but new meaning to the term Boomers....headaches that is!!:p

just finished resizing...

Friday, in my books has to be done again because of the view to a kill. The range started at 1000yds with a white rock 13" across then a 45gal barrel & propane tank. Followed by another white rock at 1500yds and then over to the big rock at 1800yds. That same rock was measured at about a 1000yds from our shooting position on Sat & Sun. So here are the pics from Friday.

The 408 is quite the cartrage. I was quite impressed with it. Looking forward to the future. Keep it up ABC I think your on to something. Thank you for letting me try it out. The 338AI what a compliment to a already fine cartrage.
Blackcloud. You have the nicest 308 I have ever seen built by none other then ATRS. Not only is it nice but you made short work of those clays. Nice shooting.

Best part is making new friends and learning new things.

Long range canuck I'll head back up there and scout the area for your range finder. I misplaced my binos.eventually found them. It's not hard with all the excitement going on.

Saturday shoot.

I didn't take as many pics of the shooters and guns as many of the other guys but you'll definitely see lots of the guns. I was more interested in the damage being done to the targets so here they are.

The large smack mark is from my 338LM AI and the brass mark is from the 408 I think. I didn't find any bigger brass smack marks so it could have been from the 50cal with the ABC bullets.

The direct hits with the brass bullets just blew up. There were tiny fragments in the dirt at the base of the rock. Some of the FMJ 50cal rounds must of been armour piercing because one of the direct hits sheered the core in half and portions of the core were tempered.

As you can see, there were many hits on the stump.
 
Level 2 body armour not doing much of anything against a 175grMK at 800yds. Not even when duct taped.

I tried to upload some videos to photobucket but I think they are to big. I will keep trying to figure a way to get it done. I have a real good one of Danger deb at the just under a mile mark smacking small rocks, and you can see the hits. Heading back to Mcmurray today it's killing me having to go back to the rat race but gotta pay for the shoots i guess.

Why not YouTube or LiveLeak? They'll take the larger video sizes.
