Summerland Long Range Fun Shoot 2008 - April 12, 13th

For those who are attending and shooting prone; go to Canadian Tire and pick up a plastic tarp for $10 or less. IF you have extra money to spare, buy a portable type awning in case of rain. Shame to travel a bunch of hours and not shoot because of rain.

Plus what you take in with you is what you have all day. Food and drink, etc.
 
I'll come watch unless you can tell me the angle I need to cut on the wedge for the front scope mount to get the .22 out to 1000m.

Looking forward to it. Think there is gunshow in Penticton the following week.

Hi Jerry....I'd like to sign up for the shoot, sounds like a lot of fun. I'm new to the long range game so looking forward to meeting other shooters.
Thanks for the reloading info...I'll be busy working up loads for my toy.

I will update post #1 with range details/shooting format, etc. in the coming days. Look there for changes.

There are other B&B's in the area and more hotels/motels in Penticton which is a 15min drive away. Start booking your rooms if needed.

brad, bring the one 338AI you have and shoot it lots. That way when YOUR rifle is finished next, you will know how to load for it :)

Sounds like a hoot. I'll do my darndest to make it this year. Anyone going by them selves want to split the cost of a room? I might just bring my wall tent and camp it.

Can't just let you guys have all the fun..... Hopefully we'll learn some alot from this and help out with the 1000 yrd plus yotes.........I guess we shoulda got on the bandwagon sooner for the other 338 LAI but thems the breaks....At least I got the action, and didnt have to wait another year and a half...

If I dont get out to bring uze the feeding nightmare this week, ill see ya sometime next week when ur in edmonchuk....

How narrow is this road. I ask in the sense of the narrow ness IE...lined with trees that will scratch a new truck or just narrow you'll fall off the other side....hehe
