sunday hunting

Ya its townships im pretty sure. Because the township our hunt camp is in just changed it in 2006 so now we can hunt sundays!!!


where I live there is still no sunday hunting. Which really sucks because I only get weekends off that leaves for only one day for hunting :(
 
Yup, it's up to the municipality. In my case, it is the 'City of Kawartha Lakes" We just fought and won the battle for Sunday hunting there.... for now.

We wait for the MNR to post this, and until then, we are stuck.

well heres my plan...but i need the help from many gun nutz members and hunters..
first off i need some one to write up a letterof some type that we can all copy and paste
basically it will say..
being an avid hunter and local supporter of your area in many years gone past,with spending tons of our hard earned $$$ in your town..
this spending will stop and and our group will travel down the road a bit to spend our money in(put name of town here) that supports and encourages sunday hunting..


i know im crappy at putting words with what i think,but i have this idea in my head that i believe will help our cause..


a couple of hundred hunters in one area spends a crap load of money in any given town;)
 
No Sunday hunting? Man would that SUCK. I still say fogducker, dumbdawg, mommabear & friends aughta come out to northern BC and try some hunting with us in the mountains one day...and we'd hunt on Sunday just 'cause we can :)

If my memory is correct, and you are hunting area 60, then the answer is YES. Sunday hunting is open for both on land game, and waterfowl.
However, some areas within area 60 ARE NOT open on Sunday
Thanks to the OFAH, who set up and ran meetings with locals. It's a first for 2008.

I'll be out black bear hunting this Sunday. I've been watching a couple of bears but haven't dropped the hammer yet..

Sunday hunting is great!

Ok fogducker, send me the wmu# and the municipality of the hunting area that does not allow sunday hunting and the closest one that does. I will get you a letter typed up. (with the help of my wife, who has a master's degree in english)... she has written a few great pieces for our hunt club.
 
We fought the battle here, had hundreds of names on petitions and packed the hall for the councils vote and the jackasses still voted it down.:mad: Now we have to wait until the next election (2 years) and push the issue again.

The MNR has left it up to the Municipalities so far, but they could just tell them to open it up, if they want to.

I have pledged to the council that I will be target shooting with several guns every Sunday I can all year, just to make noise to annoy them.

wow that would be great..but i think the areas and other info should be left blank so lots of others can use the same letter to send out to there areas..
but we are in wmu#60,this is the bobcaygeon area in the harvey township..
and how did end up with such a smart wifey??;)
