Sunshades

I have a aim point 4-16X40 scope on my rifle and want to order a sunshade for it.
How do I know what size to get (these things are new to me)
The inside diameter on the front of the scope is 46MM (where the scope threads are)
Are there different types of threads on them?
I do appreciate any help.

Ask directly the manufacturer for this kind of pieces, it is very unlikely that you will find a one-size-fits-all sunshade or the actual sunshade you are looking for.

They'll charge you that's for sure, but you'll know it's the right part
I phoned bushnell about turret caps I dented, they sent me a free replacement, didnt prove my purchase...
