Suomi m31 issues

If the thing gets reclassified as prohib, (which often seems to follow a pulled FRT number) the prohibition will apply to both restricted and non-restricted versions.
I suppose the biggest difference is that if a registered restricted gets reclassified, the owner will be notified, and given legal options for disposal. In the case of a non-registered non-restricted, there cannot be any notification, so if the owner gets tagged with it, it will go directly to prosecution for possession of a prohibited firearm. Anyone who makes or transfers one would also be subject to prosecution.

The local gun store had one on the shelf and they gave me it. When I got it home. The barrel was a little loose. I shot it and had a few light strikes on the primmers, I was on a US forum and guys had problems with them. I shimmed the barrel tight and shot 50 rounds with no problems, This is far from a tack driver. but all the same I like it. I see some prices are dropping

Probably the loose barrel was contributing to light primer strikes.
There do seem to be recurring reports of TNW quality control, involving 1919s, 34s and now the Suomis.

You might be able to find comments on US sites. Don't think any of these have been released here, yet.

Wow, quite surprised to hear of all these issues, I have one at home waiting to be shot for the first time, and as far as I can tell it looks to have none of those major issues externally, but time will tell I guess...

It would seem that there may be inconsistancies. Some are fine, some have problems. Get yours out and shoot it.

I have one of the tnw Suomi m31. The first thing I did when I got it home is polish the feed ramp. After that I toke it to the range and it has worked great. It is in at the gunsmith getting blued right now. I have been reading about all the bad welds and the guns coming a part and it seem more common than it should be. I toke the gun apart and had a local welder tig all the seam on the gun. This gun will never come apart now. Will post pic of the gun when its back and blue :)

Whoa glad I didn't buy one yet from hearing all these problems. It also weighs like 11 Ibs. Maybe I'll get one when they fix all the problems and for the price to go down.

Here's mine at the range using a drum mag for the very first time. Still have the stick mag but can't load more then three into it at a time...

Not sure if this is your problem with your mag, If you take the mag apart and remove the rivot you can grind the the bracket and make it hold 5.5 rounds. My mag would hold 5 rounds but you could not put it in the gun with bolt closed, It needs a little give , so the rounds will drop. That worked for me

I'll give that a shot. So far, I'm very happy with the drum mag. It makes firing this beauty fun again
I was on the verge of buying one of these, but I'll defer until the 'beta testing' has been completed.
Off topic, but you might want to consider muffs instead of just plugs when you're shooting on an indoor range.
You're too young to be constantly saying, "Ehh?"
