Hi all, I've finally finished my 10/22 project, so here are the pics. It has been a lot of work but I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. I like the way it looks and I like the way it shoots. Here's the details:

-green mountain 20" stainless fluted polished by me (it took forever!)
-polished receiver, trigger assembly, and anything else steel or aluminum
-bolt work by Randy @ CPC; headspace adjusted, pin pressed over firing pin, rear of bolt radiused, jewelled.
-VQ hammer
-weaponcraft bolt buffer
-VQ extended mag release
-VQ auto bolt release
-stainless takedown screw
-power custom receiver/barrel scope base
-burris rings (polished nickel)
-weaver grand slam 4.5-14 x 40 AO
-bedded with acraglas
-pepper laminate stock painted by me
-house of kolor candy apple red with clear
-silver leaf accents
-name: Red Menace

I've had it at the range only once so far. At 20 m it easily puts the standard velocity target bullets into one ragged hole. I believe at longer ranges it will group well too.

FWIW: I'm interested in painting more stocks. I can do any colour candy, metallic, solid colour, or clear. High gloss finish. PM if you want something done. The paint I use is very expensive but I'll sell my time for cheap.

Very nice.

You might want to switch to a bushnell 32/4200... that grand slam is kind of muted for a "bling rifle". Otherwise, smoking hot my friend! :D

Thanks for the compliments. I agree the scope finish could be a bit brighter. I might try to brighten it up somehow. Maybe some silver leaf accents. In person it looks good however so I'm not too worried about it. The scope is great for shooting, very clear and bright and the AO was a personal requisite.
