readung the new issue of bwm it has an article on the super comanche 45/410 pistol i was wondering if this would be non restricted or not.I cant find any info on them but was thinking it would make a great grouse gun.:confused::confused::confused:

It's a handgun, restricted. The FRT confirms this.

Last time I checked they are still being made but they are difficult to find at distributors. If we come across some we will bring them in. No ETA though, definitely not in the next few months.

when will they learn were not out to murder people we simply want sideguns to pack while hunting. It sure is a pain packing 2 rifles if you want to shoot a grouse while deer hunting :(

I didn't think the SC was still manufactured. Do you have a link? - dan

The original revolver (S&W M29 clone) is not, however, the combo pistol is. Different companies, different products just using an old name.

Haven't heard too much good about the combo gun but then again didn't read too much good about my Llama Super Comanche 44MAG either and I love mine.

I think you are confounding the LLama (copy of a S&W) and the break action single shot super comanche 45/410.

Yes, that's what I was thinking of. I hadn't seen the new one. Really, out of all the S&W clones and such the High Standard Crusader is the one I would like get my hands on. - dan

IIRC the Crusader was a re-branded Dan Wesson. Awesome looking beast and tough to find as there we're too many made.

The 357 was. The 44 was more like a cross between a DW and a S&W 29, except with coil springs. Didn't have the interchangeable barrels, came in 44 Mag and 45 colt, and they made very, very few of them. - dan
