Super Sabra Lightning Bow Trigger (IWI Tavor)

anyone able to post a video showing the installation of this trigger into their rifle?

It's fairly straight forward. Just download the Tavor armourer . Pdf
Make sure it is unloaded!
Remove the bottom fore end (2 Allen screws)
Remove the charging handle carrier on top. It slides forward until it hits the flash hider. Just pop it out from its track.
Removing the barrel isn't hard either.
Push in the barrel lock using a small punch, or screwdriver. You put pressure upwards into the hole to lift up the locking tab free of the stock.
The tab must be held out while you turn the lock from the other side with a barrel wrench. I used a very large flat blade screwdriver bit that just fit into the slot, and a small wrench.
It worked just fine, just be careful it doesn’t skip out and make a scratch.
It's stiff at first, but soon gets easier after you break the crest.

Slide out the barrel, and sights. It's all one piece. Now your trigger is exposed.
Punch out the pivot pin, and be careful with that little spring. It will fly out quite happily, and we know all springs, and sockets have built in self centring capabilities under what ever they get to. Wear eye protection during this removal!
Put a rag, or something to hold it while you punch out the pin.

The only trick to the trigger installation is getting the pin Groove centered so it can be locked by the retainer wire. Put a small wire into the hole so you can feel when it's in the right place. I didn't have to trim any plastic to have the trigger swing freely on my 1st Gen. Yours may differ.
Follow the instruction sheet. Adjusting the screw until there is no slack, but loose enough so the safety isn't bound up. Back off the screw about 1/8th turn from where you start to feel the safety is getting stiffer.
Put everything back together. The charging handle rod goes into a hole, so guide it in.
After you are done, you will say that wasn't so hard, and you will have a newfound appreciation for your rifles engineering.

Good to know, Only broke it down so far as I don't have a barrel wrench or screw driver strong enough to "crack" the barrel lock. Will be out on the hunt today for one and hopefully shooting it at the range tomorrow.

DOOK, thanks for posting this!

just installed the trigger, now in the instructions where it says ensure it (the trigger) moves freely what do they mean? I played with the trigger pin and got it to a point that there is a small touch of resistance, enough that if I flip the stock back and forth, the trigger doesnt move. but when I pull the trigger (with trigger pack removed) there is ever so slight resistance . WIth trigger pack installed and trigger adjusted it feels similar to an AR trigger.

Should the trigger be moving "freely" or?

They mean it not having any resistance due to it rubbing on plastic. Mine was just about to the point that if you tilt the rifle forward the trigger would fall forward and if you tipped it back it would just about fall back, not quite though lol. After I put the retaining spring in I held a flashlight underneath the trigger bow to look for any rubbing areas. I lightly tapped the pin left and right accordingly until I could see the light shine all the way through around the trigger.

Make sure you leave enough slack in the bow to let it reset. I had mine taken apart and put back together an embarrassing number of times before I got that figured.

My trigger resets (when I let go after cocking the charging handle) but it is right at the point when the bow hits the adjustments screw movd all the wat forward. Its a loud click and is so close to the full forward position of the bow I wonder if I need to give it more slack like the trigger is not fully catching or something. Is this something I should worr about or as long as the trigger resets I am good no matter what?

I have the Timney.

Rack it, and pull the trigger. Hold the trigger back, and rack it again. If you hear a click when you release it, and then can pull the trigger again with a click (hammer falling) it should be fine.
