super sniper 10x

Gunn: I've owned BOTH side and rear focus models.

I prefer the side focus when I'm hunting earth pigs so that I can dial out the parallax (focus on the critter) while looking at 'em and not taking my eye off.

I like the rear focus while at the range (known distance) so I can just adjust the focus for the distance I'm at (to the target)... also a cheaper price point.

Whatever works for you and yer budget.....

Cheers,
Barney

Thanks, but whats the real advantage of getting the side focus?
Well that was not your initial question , but anyway, it has to do with your body position when shooting prone , easy access, less motion, now there may also be an advantage in lens positioning inside the scope, but thats for a tech to answer.

Hey Barney,

Where'd you get them in Canada?

Thanks,
Darcy :)

+1.. just found out that they won't ship to Canada, and the newer versions (not made by tasco) are sub par anyhow. Looks like I'm holding out for the Leupy.:(

I discovered like you that www.riflescopes.com will not ship to Canada for their own reasons. I guess I gotta respect that.

My brother in Texas sent me a few of them about 2 years ago. I sold a bunch of them on the CGN board and kept a couple for myself. Quite often you will see them turn up here on the board. THey are fabulous pieces of glass especially for the money. Mind you , a Bushnell 3200 and 4200 series of scopes are pretty darn good these days.

I wanted another 10x for groundhog hunting and I could not get my hands on a Super Sniper, so I spent HALF of the Super Sniper money and bought a Bushnell Elite 3200 10x Mildot from the CGN EE Forum. Life is great.
