I purchased a box of hornady superformance 243 58gr v-max factory loads. Haven't chrono'd them yet---tommorrow. Measured OAL, pulled 3 bullets, all measured 51.0gr of powder. Not a compressed load but seems like alot of powder. I ordered from Higgonsons 2# of superformance powder, & have the bullets on hand. I plan to reduce my starting loads by 10%. Even this seems like alot of powder! Anyone used this powder in 243 & this weight of bullet? Care to share results?

There are around 5 or 7 different types of Superformance powder but Hodgdon only sells one type!
Luckily, there is a recipe for 65gr up to 80gr bullets for 243 Win on their website and 65gr V-Max sits on 51.9gr of powder!!!
