so I had my heart set on getting myself a supernova for a starter pump, also for something friends can use when I bring them out. I have done a ton of reading about it, lots of good feedback out there on it, and I handled it today and it was just meh. I was expecting it to feel like money! in my hands... but sadly not so, which I find odd as I love the M2 and really love the supersport and how they fit and feel.

It almost felt cheap, size wise it was pretty good, but I am not sure if I am a fan of the forestock, might take a lil getting used to. Does anyone have any input, feedback, similar or adverse feelings they wish to share on the supernova to perhaps win me back over, or should I just dbl my budget and spring for the M2 which fits me quite nicely? Main usage would be for clays, perhaps a hunt or two, but mostly range use.

On a side note, I did just about run out of the store with the Beretta 686 onyx <3, but she is too pricey atm =(

Cheers,

Derek

i had a nova and now a supernova tactical and it is a slick and reliable shotgun , never had one hic-up , easy to load , disassemble and clean. but if your heart is set on a semi-auto go for it , thats what i`m saving up for wright now.

i had a Nova (stolen) and I replaced it with a SuperNova

While the Benelli semi's are somewhat slimmer, they are at least twice as expensive. (SBE or M2)

I know what you mean about the fat forestock though, other pump guns seem to have smaller pump handle

My Nova has been ultra reliable, I like the 3.5 inch capability since I just started hunting goose.

I think the Comfortech stock really helps. I was shooting 3 inch magnums a lot this past fall and it hardly kicked at all

Get the Super Nova, practice with it and save up for a nice semi.
