support for eddie Maurice's self defense case Please read...

Hopefully, we can make this case a Precedent(case law), so , in the future , we can use it to help us too.

Indeed. I am very much hoping that Maurice will beat the charges or maybe just get a very light sentence.

The criminals know that the police cannot or will not respond in time to protect the home owner. They also know that the government prohibits the property owner from protecting their own home. That's why the criminals do what they do and I honestly can't blame them. The federal government is actually encouraging their criminal activity.

An acquittal in the Maurice trial should send the crooks a new message. This fight concerns all of us...

Someone should contact Gerald Stanley. Once his legal troubles are over, he will probably have some funds left over from the 200K+ he received in donations. It would be very classy of him to pay it forward, or to create an ongoing fund to help out ALL of the members of wrongful self defence prosecution.

Stanley is still going to have to deal with a weapons charge and I'm guessing that the Crown will be coming at him very hard on this. It's an excellent suggestion that any left over funds be donated to help someone else like Maurice. It can be sorta like a crowd-funded self insurance policy...

I really like this guys, 100% - The community looking after the community, the people for the people .... now if only we can get our government to think this way ....

I am sure the government will be chomping at the bit to find a way to seize the 200k as proceeds of crime.

I can see it happening. If this sorta thing gets big enough, I'm certain that they'll eventually find a way to make it illegal...

I can't really afford it but donated anyway. If nothing else to send a message to our wonderful government.

Good for you! I will donate more when and if I can. I think that it's most important to spread the word on this. If it gets enough mass exposure, we'll 'kill two birds with one stone'. Maurice might get the financial help that he needs and home/property owners will get their message out to the politicians.

Even non-gun owners who own property and/or their own homes will benefit. Many don't feel that it's right or ethical to employ the threat of force to protect property yet they're still hiding under the protective umbrella of those of us who do...

I'll be at a TD Canada Trust by Monday to deposit $100.00 to the defense fund.
Also, any chance for a mailing address to send cheques to? Some of us old timers don't use EMTs etc.

I sincerely hope he is acquitted and the Crown/government starts to rethink their actions and responsibilities to law abiding citizens.

For your own info, ask the folks at TD how to send an EMT. You're here posting on an online forum and it's not much more complicated than that. If this 'old timer' can do it then anybody can... :)

I initially thought that the Maurice fund raiser would have gained more traction and support (and gain it faster) than the Stanley campaign. Anyone who supported Gerald Stanley was unjustifiably bashed and vilified as being 'racist'. The Leftist media had a field day playing up that angle and it got national attention.

We'll nobody can pull the race card this time. This is a clean fight. We've now got a level playing field and it seems like we're just spinning our wheels. I'm really just not sure what the problem is...

If you'd like you can make checks or money orders payable to Eddie Maurice; PM me and I will provide my mailing address. I live 5 minutes away from them and see them weekly. I have no problem hand delivering these to them.

Seriously!?! You really think that the criminal we have as our national leader is going to do anything to effectively deter other criminals? Degenerates and criminals are the ones who gave Turdeau his majority government.

Your comment tells me that there are still Canadians who have yet to open their eyes. As decent, "law abiding citizens" we're on our own here. Fund raising efforts like this one and the one that was created for Gerald Stanley are now the way to go. Until the government shuts it down, it's now the only option that we have.

I see fund raising efforts like this becoming commonplace. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. We can't be holding our breath waiting for the laws to change because it just ain't gonna happen. Canadian society has been deteriorating at a constant and steady rate for over the past fifty years. The way things are today in our country was predicted fifty years ago. People back then saw this day coming.

People really need to get on board with these type of campaigns. Gone are the days of expecting or hoping for the government to 'do the right thing'. We really are all on our own and it's about time that we wake up and acknowledge that this is just the new reality...

Without giving us too much personal information, are you able to let us know how the Maurice family is doing? Are they coping okay? Please remind them that there are many others in this fight with them. They are not alone here. Eddie Maurice himself is not the only one on trial but all decent, real Canadians are on trial right there beside him...

Let me have a chat with them to see what can and can not be said.

So I spoke with them and this is on my take of the situation and not a direct quote from them:

I think they are doing well and they are trying to take this situation one step at a time. It seems like they are trying to get a normal routine back into their lives and focus on the positives like spending time with family. A situation like this can easily consume and take over your life; it seems like they have recognized this and really putting emphasis on time with each other and family. They are very over whelmed by the out pouring of positive support from everyone and this site was mentioned specifically. They said to thank each and everyone of you for not only the donations but the positive words of encouragement.

I am speculating that there will be an update coming from them in the next while.
