Support hand slipping

I am finding that after about 6 rounds in a fairly fast string of shots, my support hand starts to slip and I need to reposition it. I have good grips, LOK grips. I shoot in an isosceles stance, strong hand pushing and support hand pulling. I also torque both hands inwards at the rear to maximize contact at the rear of the gun.

I'm wondering if its because I have my strong arm straight and my support arm with the elbow down a bit, in order to lock my support arm wrist in the downward position. This produces a very strong resistance to recoil. Maybe too strong, and the strong hand recoils away from the support hand that is locked in wrist position?

Just get someone to film you with your phone focusing more on the arms and upper body, then post it on youtube not searchable but visible to anyone with a link.

Though with factory 115gr your gun may not be optimized for the load. What PF that ammo makes?
For the giggles you can try a lighter recoil spring, like 9 or 8lb, and if you already have 9lb - try 12..13lb.

This is true. My Shadow 2 is snappy with 124 (never tried 115) and gets along best with 147.

Makes a significant difference to how it shoots.

Why are you pulling back with your week hand not a good idea

Under the possibly mistaken belief that it reinforced my hold by pushing the one hand into the other that is being pulled back.

I'm going to experiment with a higher grip on the weak hand. That will also alter my weak hand elbow, as a higher grip will change the rotation at the wrist and move it closer to locked out downwards.

You should call up Eric Grauffel and tell him the technique he uses is not a good idea.

Maybe he'll start winning world championships if he alters his grip....
