Has anyone shot IPSC/IDPA/USPSA with a pistol with suppressor height iron sights?
Is it any different than regular sights? My guess is that “iron sights are iron sights”.
I’m assuming you have a proper holster made to have clearance for them, so they don’t
interfere with drawing.

If your thinking for something like an M&P C.O.R.E. then the advantage comes if your using a red dot and it goes out on you then you can cowitness the irons, same comes with closerange speed shoot stages it can be faster for your eyes to catch the irons rather then the red dot.

Yes I am. I would like the SR model for the extra barrel length. I have seen nothing but good things about it and the price is right.

For Production or for PO?

Depending on what happens with this "PO light" division, the P10c is a pretty attractive option if you wanted to install a dot in the future, and as mentioned above, suppressor height sights could work great as a backup

I am thinking production. As far as I know, the SR doesn’t come with an Optics Ready version. I think it’s against the PO rules in IPSC to mill the slide to fit one.

I haven’t been in the game very long, but the way I read it, slide milling is permitted - Appendix D4a

Aftermarket parts, components and accessories are prohibited, except as follows:
18.1 Aftermarket magazines are permitted, subject to 17.2 above.
18.2 Aftermarket open and optical/electronic sights (see Rules 5.1.3.1 and 5.1.3.2) and mounting plates are permitted, provided their installation and/or adjustment requires no alteration to the handgun other than the milling of the slide in order to facilitate the installation of an optical/electronic sight.

I could be wrong, but I think milling was allowed once the ‘new’ rules came in for Jan 1 2019

That makes my day! I’m definitely looking hard at the CZ P-10C SR.
