Hello from Nova Scotia!

I'm wondering if anyone can let me know the value of this gun, both in terms of money and whether Lanber is a decent brand of shotgun. The stock and reciever housing are nicely scrolled and the internal hammers lead me to believe there is some value to it but I can't find a whole lot of information on it.

Any expertise on this would be appreciated!

Thanks

Roughly from what you paid to around $500.00. Does it have ejectors? Also, condition is everything.

It has ejectors, not sure if they work. I'm going to take it for a test run tomorrow night. Bluing is roughly 60 %, no pitting. I'll throw some pictures up tonight.

By ejectors not working I'm referring to when the round expands and gets plugged into the chamber and the ejectors don't have enough force to remove the round. This is maybe more a function of the chamber and round than the ejector though, as I've noticed it happens more with slugs.

It depends. If it has extractors, then the shells will be pushed out just enough to grab the casing and remove them by hand. If it has ejectors but are not working properly, then the value will be lowered. It will also be lower because of 60% bluing and whatever marks the wood might have as well as if the action is tight or pitting in the bores, dents in the barrels etc. etc. Not sure where you bought it from for $125.00 but perhaps that's where its value is roughly. If you post pics , a better idea of value may be possible. One person's opinion of very good condition could be below average to another. But as mentioned, besides pics, an accurate description of mechanical/functioning condition is very important to value, especially proper evaluation of any play in the action.

Hopefully this pictures work. Action locks extremely tight together. No lateral play when the action is open either.

Can't wait to take her for a shoot.

The gun has extractors. Lanber makes some half decent guns, but also some cheapies - this is a cheapie. Go to the Tradex website, you'll see lots of similar cheapies for ~ 220$
