I tried various search strings and came up dry. If this has been covered anywhere, I apologize in advance.
I'm interested in a light for my grizzly 870 (the original ones that Can-Am brought in, not the mag fed or 15 inchers), and like the function of the Surefire forend.
My question: does having the SF mounted on a short barrelled Grizzly pose any problems? In looking at pictures of the SF, size-wise it looks like the light will stick past the muzzle... is the possibility there of a stray bit of shot taking it out? Or does the spread on a cylinder bore only open up a bit further from the barrel?
I obviously don't want to create a health hazard (or ruin a $300 light) from sheer stupidity, but would really like to know if anyone has any experience/insight into this.
