Hi Gunnutz,

I'm wondering if anyone has bought and installed the Surefire M69 rail on there 870. What did you think of it?
Is it worth the extra money over the ergo railed fore end? Do they scratch the barrel or the Reciever? I have been looking at the Surefire rail because it is aluminum instead of plastic. I'm looking to mount a AFG or light on my tactical build. Cheers

The Surefire DSF-70 lighted forend seems like a better solution than a cheese grater picatinny rail with a light bolted to it.

I always preferred the look of the older (Surefire) laser products forend/light myself. I missed out on a nice one in the EE this year :(. I think the newer ones look to big and clunky for a 14" barrel shotgun. I know you can't go wrong with them but I think that I'm going to try the surefire m69. I really would like to try a AFG on my 870 more than a light anyways. I have A Cadex MCS forend on another scattergun and do love it. I just did not like the price tag on it which is why I originally looked at the EGRO 870 rail but it is plastic or polymer which is why I started looking at the surefire m69. It seems like it is less popular Than I thought.

Thanks for your input fellow Gunnutz.
