Surplus 166/185 gr .45 acp

Wondering if anyone knows a source for surplus 166 or 185 gr bulk .45 acp

I am not aware of any surplus 45 ACP in any configuration now or at any time in the recent past. Phil.

Even when surplus .45 ACP existed, it was practically all 230 grain ball.

You may find surplus 45ACP at gun shows but it would not be in bulk packing, it may also be corrosive. You should be able to find a few boxes at least but it would all be 230gr. ball. The only 185gr. I know is commercial made, keep an eye on Lebaron's you might get lucky and find some 185gr.there.

Like P of PDent says, you won't find milsurp .45 ACP ammo. Even if you could, you'd never find it with 166 or 185 gr bullets. No such thing. Your pistol has to be set up to shoot those weights too.
