Midway USA has late 60's production non-corrosive .30-06 150gr FMJ available for US$125/200. Do any of you know if this ammo is available in Canada?

Discovered in a British armory, this pristine, non-corrosive, military surplus 30-06 Springfield ammunition was manufactured in Pakistan in the late ‘60s and sealed away in protective spam cans. The spam cans were too heavy to meet US shipping regulations, so we cracked them open and repacked the ammo down into 30 Caliber military surplus ammo cans. We are pleased to offer 200 rounds of brass cased, berdan-primed, non-corrosive 30-06 Springfield ammunition, 20 rounds to a cardboard box, 10 boxes in each 30 caliber surplus ammo can. We have a very limited supply and there’s no telling when or if we’ll ever get more, so act fast!

I thought maybe someone from Canada might have snagged a bunch directly from the "British armory".

Chances are a US company just bought out the entire lot in one go. That's what seems to happen with a lot of surplus that shows up on the world market. I don't know if they're just that much more on the ball than Canadian companies, they make better offers, or the sellers prefer to sell in a single lot versus parsing it out to a half dozen customers. Same thing happened with the last of the Greek .303B surplus that showed up a couple years ago. There had been earlier releases of parts of the Greek stockpile where some ended up in Canada (in the 70's or 80's I think?) but when the last of it was released sometime in the 2000's, it all ended up in the US.

US$125 = CA$182

In other words, it's $18 for a pack of 20 rounds. Walmart sells new NON-corrosive ammo for $23. You can probably can get a deal if you buy bulk somewhere else and it get even more close to $18... So, IMHO, it's pointless.
