Surplus 7.62x54r Chinese vs Russian, Which is better? Where is it the cheapest?

If you are using it for SVTs then I would have second thoughts. Missfires are common as they have harder primers. They are great for Mosins.

Both my son and I own an SVT (both are '43 Tulas in AVT stocks) and our SVTs have zero issues with the Chinese ammo.

Both SVTs are set at 1.3 and cycle beautifully.

The SVTs and ammo are both accurate as my son and I consistently hit the 200 yard gong using iron sights only.

Cheers !!

try both, results may vary

After several range sessions the usual rule that each rifle is a law unto itself proves true again. Chinese 7.62x54R match accuracy in my 43 TULA PU, not so hot in several of my other Mosins. Circle 10 71 ( Bulgarian I think) only average in my PU (3" groups at 100meters), fantastic in my M38 better than groups with scoped pu on a snowy, ground fog day. Chinese good groups with my SVT , BUT occasional FTF. The rounds would fire with second strike. Circle 10 in my SVT ran smooth as butter and better accuracy. Never had a split neck in 500rds of Chinese , had a split neck with Circle 10 ammo in my PU yesterday. Have some Czech ammo, silver tip in 20 rd green boxes, shoots poorly ( bad groups) in everything I tried it in, Cases look like they have a lacquered coating so given that and poor accuracy record I haven't bothered trying it in m SVT.They don't chamber easily (sometimes not at all) in my PU.
