Did some shooting the other day of some surplus 7.92x57 aka 8mm Mauser.

Czech made * - ○ 11 50 headstamp, I believe 178gr.

2425fps average

Not the most consistent ammo, over 20% were flinch indicator rounds.

Ejercito Ecuitoriano 7.92 A A 1954 headstamp box marked SS, 198gr I believe

2480fps average

Nice looking ammo, very consistent unfortunately 20% were flinch indicators.

The Ecuadorian ammo, supposedly made in Argentina is very nice ammo, unfortunately the primers are past their best before and unfortunately Berdan. Noticeably more powerful than the Czech stuff.

Have shot both. The Czech ammo is dirty.
The Ecuadorian ammo, never had primer issues. Yes, definitely made by the Argie's. Loved the stuff.
