Surplus Beretta's at Lever Arms

Hi Terry,

I didn't see you and your wife at the range at your usual time on Saturday... out shopping?

PM me and let me know how your wife's pistol shopping is going. I never really heard what her verdict on her test run of my P99 was. She was shooting pretty well with it, but I think she also agreed with my girlfriend that the felt recoil is pretty noticable for a 9mm pistol (for girls anyway :p ). Maybe she will want to try the Beretta as well? Not a lot of felt recoil with that big-boy in a 9mm (then again... your Norinco 1911 is sort of the ultimate no-recoil 9mm).

On the springs.... yah, I think I'll ask Shane at Reliable to try and get one. There are some guys I talk to at the range that order all kinds of stuff straight across the border, .22 conversion kits and all kinds of things, and it seems to work for them... but I'm going to try and stay away from that unless absolutely necessary. I ordered a Safariland holster for a Glock about a year ago, and I even got some BS from Border Services on that (both delay and money).

On the other hand.... I've been trying to get spare P22 mags from Reliable for like 6 months now. Not their fault, there just doesn't seem to be a huge stockpile of parts on this side of the border.

She did say the P99 kicked too much in her weak hands. For some reason she doesn't like the Norinco 9mm 1911 (too heavy), and now she has her mind set on the Sig P226, because it looks like the bigger brother of Mosquito......

I am now looking for an opportunity for her to try the P226 before we buy one.

hey congrats on the new gun purchase. The larger moral of the story aside from the the berreta is that you got your G/F a gun so she can go shooting with you! That I applaude you for.

CHEERS!

If Colin is working at the range, he will probably have his SIG with him, and he will probably have no problem letting her try it. I know he is always practically daring people to try his .44mag revolver.

If "Smoking Gun" Kelly ever gets his indoor range up and running, then finally we will have the same ability as our Calgary and Edmonton cousins to actually rent things before buying them.

Thanks man. Yah, I agree that, aside from the issue of whether the Beretta is a good deal or not... the best deal for me is having someone that actually wants to go shooting with me every weekend. :)

In today's dating environment, there are way too many things that can come between people. Finding someone who's not opposed, against, or philisophically adverse to your hobby is a good way of saying .. "one less thing to fight about"

This is my first post to this site so I may be breaching protocol here (if so let me know) but I have an excellent condition "Made in Italy" 92FS with less than 750 rounds through it for sale.

Wrong forum... You have to first get permission, then post your pistol for sale in the Equipment Exchange further down the page... And when you do, you have to post a price with your ad... ;)
