I ordered just a "good" one. I was sitting on the fence waiting for this next batch of surplus pistols that's allegedly showing up and I saw that the "very good" ones all sold out. Didn't wait any longer to order one after that!

In all likelihood the current retailers saw that TW is going to saturate the market with cz's and are just selling them all that the "good" price.
Seems unlikely all the ex police guns in decent shape actually sold.

Well my "good" one arrived today and it's pretty much exactly as advertised. Very happy with it! My only complaint is the crudely pinned magazines. The fast shipping made up for the terrible transfer time.
Now that photobucket has flown the coop how do post pictures?

For all that are interested in a "Good" example, here are some pictures (the white bag makes it easier to see). I also included one of the roughly pinned mags. The pistol seems to be in excellent shape except for the holster wear. The bore looks fantastic. This pistol is stamped "Made in Czechoslovakia" so it's got to be at least pre 1993 production.
(wear on the slide and trigger frame more pronounced than in photo, the glare makes it hard to see)

Honestly, it doesn't look much worse than my "very good" one (see post #4). I also have one of my mags very crudely pinned so, in practice, I can only press 9 rounds. However, I ordered and received 4 brand new mags from Corwin Arms. They are the Meg-Gar mags, super quality. Fit to my CZ 85 perfectly.
Also, I removed a firing pin and a firing pin spring for inspection and they look like brand new. The same with a recoil spring that is immaculate. I have a hunch that those CZ pistols were, at least, partially refurbished internally before being sold by the Czech Police. Mine shoots like a dream after 25 years in service ( mine is a 1992 production year).
You can find the production year of yours in the oval just above the extractor.
Happy shooting!
Hope so, haven't heard a peep since they showed all the gear off!I'm still really curious whether the TW guns that are inbound from the middle east (presumably also police or mil trade-ins) will mean lower prices than M@rs@r's current $499.
